Bikini Body Bootcamp Day 7

It's the third day of our cardio week. Yesterday we gave you some great cardio workouts if you like working out alone (ie: treadmill, elliptical, etc) but if you're like some of us who get bored easily then these are some great cardio workouts to check out.

If you are looking to burn maximum calories and you aren't afraid of a high intensity cardio workout, spin class is the workout for you. In an hour class, you can burn upwards of 800 calories, plus you won't get bored because the instructor usually blasts awesome music to get you (and keep you) pumped up. But you can't be scared of breaking a good sweat because spin class can be hardcore.

If being trapped in a sweaty room isn't your style, and you prefer a solo workout, the treadmill can be a lot of fun. The trick to mastering the treadmill though is mixing up your workout, as it can get boring doing the same thing day in and day out. Interval training (i.e. sprint for one minute, walk for two minutes, repeat) on the treadmill is a great way to get your heart rate up. Also, these days treadmills are being made with maximum incline capacity. Walking at a steep incline is a great way to get the bootie in bikini shape. Again, if you can't handle walking for 30 minutes, throw in a few quick sprints.

If you like to workout with your friends, cardio classes are a good fit for you. Right now, barre classes are all the rage. There is Bar Method, Cardio Barre, Spin Barre, etc. Each of these classes is unique, but they all somehow incorporate the ballet bar into the workout, which is good for elongating muscles (similar to pilates).

Finally, most gyms offer some sort of bootcamp workout which is really great for the ADD inflicted. Bootcamp workouts are fast-paced and intense and offer tons of variety so you won't get bored. If you aren't terribly athletic though, bootcamp may not be for you.
