It pretty much depends on your age, and 'how well' you know your body. Some women cant orgasm until they reach their mid to late 30's, some can do it earlier. Some cant orgasm through straight sex, some can. Some can only orgasm through oral stimulation, some cant even get that. I dont know about your history, or how often you masturbate, but i dont think there is anything wrong with you. Once you get to know your body better(and im not advocating you go out and have sex, but sex is what helped me get to know my own body better), you will know what will and what wont work in order to achieve orgasm. You arent abnormal in any way, you just need to practice practice practice and when, or if, you are ever in the bedroom with someone else, be vocal about what you like and what feels good. Your first orgasm is going to feel a little strange to you, but the more you read about it and learn about it, the easier it will be for you to recognize. You will know when it hits you. I can't orgasm from masturbation alone unless there is a vibrator involved. I don't know how old you are, if you can buy one, but it's something I would definitely recommend. It really helped me.

i think it depends. i used to masturbate as a very young child (5 or 6) and my parents simply told me that it was something to do in private and in moderation and that was fine for me. i am now 19 and regularly orgasm and have suffered no ill effects of any kind.

Yeah, and it's very common for infants to, as well. Not exactly the same as we would, they just know it feels good. So it really comes down to what age you get curious.
