Sex... Is It All That's Keeping You...

Sex has always been a big part in everyones life. At the age of six we wonder how babies were made. At twelve, we hear the words "penis" and "vagina" said aloud in class and cringe at those awkward words. At fifteen, most of us have our first kiss and is somewhat horrifyingly curious about whats next. At seventeen, we put the words "penis" and vagina together and have an outcome of  "sexual intercourse". At nineteen, we're amazingly in love with the one we've lost it to and refuse to let go

No one can deny it. Sex is amazing. All those cringeworthy and blushing secrets it holds and how much it connects you with your partner. But when it starts to rule your life; is it worth it? Just because at that moment in time he makes you feel so amazing; then to treat you like shit when you two are just "hanging out" is becoming more and more common in our society and we should take a stronger stand. Us girls are so ruled by emotions and maybe we need to take a step back and make them deserve us.

Sex should be treated as a very special thing between two people. Not just because you want it really badly and you think that it'll keep your boyfriend to you. Trust me; it doesn't. Using sex as an excuse as to why you are still with him will just kill you even more if you keep it up. Instead; as awkward as it is TALK.

Communication is always one of the biggest issues in life. If we don't communicate our thoughts then how do we ever get the best for ourselves? Make sure that you two are both on equal grounding, not him infantilizing you and you on your knees. Just say everything thats on your mind and he will respect you so much more for being a strong and independent woman that you know you are!

Each and everyone of us is amazing and beautiful, we may all be bitchy, have mood swings and contradictive in our lives but we're all good people at the end of the day and we all deserve the best.

I tried talking and telling him i wasn't ready. He broke up with me a week later because he wasn't getting any. :| And now a week later he has a new gf, and its driving me crazy.

that just tells u he was ion 4 the sex not for being with u no matter what 7 he didnt love u 4rm the 1st place...u deserve better that that. WAY BETTER

I've never even had sex with my former bf. we've been together for just over 5 months. Is that odd or unusual?!?!?! HELP!

not at all.....me & my bf have been 2gether for 4 yrs & were just waiting 4 that special moment but untill than u can occupy him with other things*** if u know what i mean* :)

Not unusual at all. I was with my current bf over 6 months before we had sex, and even then he waited a couple of weeks before I was comfortable having sex with him again.
Every one is different, the main thing is that you dont feel pressured into it. If you wait until you both feel its the right time it is so much better because you trust and care for each other more. You were right not to have sex just because you had been together 5 mnths.

Devin don't listen to that jerk he's just trynna use u!!! you are alot more classy than some hooker!!!

if you are only dating for 5 months its no big deal.
let the love grow. sex will be so much more special that way

This article is really cool... It's so weird when I read things like this that I always thought ya know I was the only one. It's very true though. Sex is a beautiful way that two people connect, but in some cases those emotions that you feel during sex blinds you long after the fact. Like people who think they're really truly in love after their first time with a new man.
Women are strong. Screw that weaker more sensitive dainty point of view. If anything we're the stronger sex because all these crazy emotions that we have to rein in like wild horses. We're strong and any man should have to prove himself to be with any woman.
If a guy treats you like crap he doesn't deserve you...no matter how hot or great.

I really like this article it has a lot of understanding out into it...it made me think about my own relationship and i was wondering how do u tell ur boyfriend that u wana take a break from having sex, like not do it so much?

About a month ago me and my bf had a bit of a pregnancy scare(false alarm, thank god). A couple weeks ago I told him I wanted to hold off on sex until we both learned to be more responsible. He was honest with me and told me that it was gonna suck and that he didn't like it, but he did agree that it was the best idea for us and he said if it was what I wanted then he would go for it.
Just be honest with your bf. Give him specific reasons for why you want temporary/partial celibacy and hope for the best. If you guys have a good relationship, I'm sure he'll understand.

i had sex with my two last ex boyrfriends when id only been with them a week then they both end shortly after after ive had sex with my partners i become bored and me and one of my exs did it twice a day for a week before we split up what isa rong with me ??

there's a saying i learned
guys give love for sex and girls give sex for love.
seriously ..not all guys are bad and not all girls are good ^^

. Girls start realize that Sex is not everything in a relationship.
it's just something that helps bonding between lovers. No??

unless you're the type who enjoy life and not into a relationship then it's up to u how u wanna live it.
