Breaking News: Today is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. Shut the front door. So for a very special version of Thirsty Thursday, I bring you the adult-version of the root beer float. Was there anything better as a kid than getting to go get a root beer float? Ok, maybe getting a ChocoTaco at the pool or something, but you get my drift. Ice cream floats are delicious. And seriously, this is one of the easiest cocktails you will ever make. One-two-three. Lazy enough for any summer night!

Rum ‘n’ Coke ‘n’ Cream

Ingredients
2 parts Captain Morgan’s or Sailor Jerry Rum

1 scoop chocolate ice cream

Coca-Cola (Cherry Coke would be divine too…)

Directions
Add rum to a highball glass full of ice, drop in a scoop of ice cream and top with cola. Have a straw on hand for overflow. This is also a great twist on the classic root beer float.
