Got two minutes? I bet you can master these styles! I will confess that most of the time, I wear my hair down. So boring, I know. But in the summer, having hair around my face gets old really quick. Which means everyday around 2pm I’m heading to the bathroom to pull it back. Sometimes, a full-on pony just isn’t going to fly, so I am always on the lookout for pretty half-up options so I can still show off the results of my AM dryer-and-straightener time, but not have annoying hair in my face. It’s a win-win. Here are some recent runway-inspired looks that I’m loving.
The first, this twisted back hairstyle on Jessica Chastain, isn't so unexpected when it comes to the style itself...

The most unexpected thing from the front is that her hair is pulled most straight-back than wrapped around the sides as you usually see with side twists. But it's in the back that's the real surprise.

There's a dainty little star barrette right where the two twists come together. So dainty and sweet! Love this! And all you'd have to do to pull this off is twist two pieces back, pin them behind your head with hairpins that match your hair color, and slip in a clip. I think this would also be great with little braids for a boho-chic vibe!
Similarly, You can twist the sides of your hair back like Rachel McAdams here:

This option is cute and fresh looking—perfect when paired with a sundress.
Or you can toss the top of your hair into a half-bun like Zooey Deschanel:

So adorable! This one’s a little fancier, so it’ll work for a summer wedding or a big date. All it takes is a little teasing and you’re good to go.
Would you try these styles? Do you have any mid-afternoon emergency hair tricks?
