It’s 2012 ladies, and we can’t always play it hard to get while he makes the first move. Sometimes you’ve got to take that first step and just ask him out already. Here are a few low-pressure and low-key ways to take him out.
Get Him on a Group Date
Group outings are the perfect no-pressure way to get to know someone better. Invite him and his pals to hang out with your group of friends sometime, whether it’s to a party or to match off in a sports game. Plus, a group date is a perfect way to get in with his friends. If he realizes you can hang out with the guys too, he’ll be that much more open to starting something more serious.
Suggest Guy-Friendly Outings
We’re talking concerts, sporting events, and the great outdoors. The idea is to pick a place where the focus is on an outside source of entertainment. If you two are busy rooting on your favorite basketball team, you won’t have to worry about the dreaded awkward silent moment. However, it’s still a great bonding opportunity and you can get to know each other better during half-time.
Pick a Common Interest
Were you smitten once you realized he’s a huge Lord of the Rings fan, too? Invite him to your place for a mini movie marathon and make plans long-standing plans to see The Hobbit this winter. If you center the date around a common interest, you’ve already picked out a great conversation starter. Eventually you might run out of things to say on that topic, but by then you should feel comfortable enough to let conversation happen naturally.
Get Your Sweat On
Another low-budget and low-pressure date is asking him to join in on a workout. Having a workout buddy is a great motivator. Plus, you can check out his competitive side if you decide to play a sport. Don’t worry if you’re not a pro. He’s probably not that great either, but will love to see that you’re willing to try new things and can laugh at yourself.
