I just had a baby in November. I put on not only the 25 lbs from baby weight, but an extra 45 and gained an entire 70 lbs all together. I went clothes shopping for new work clothes yesterday and I cried the entire time. What's a good idea to start losing the weight? Diet or exercise tips? Remember, I have a 2 month old and I can't drag her out in the cold to even go walking. Don't give me the whole get somebody to watch her story either, it's not an option!!

I've seen moms in my area use the track at the local rec center with strollers to get in a nice walk without braving the elements, but the new moms group over at SparkPeople might have more good ideas about taking off weight while balancing new mom duties.

**Home-made soups loaded with veggies, in place of a meal or two, are great for nutrition and losing weight.**
Hope you find what works for you. Don't worry, if it took you nine months to put it on then give yourself some time to take it off. :)

as for diet try to stick to unprocessed foods and lots of fruit and veg. In winter veggie soups are great because you can make a big pot full and have it there for lunch or dinner all week so you dont need to worry about trying to cook a healty meal every night of the week.
also try to snack on fruit, youghurt ect because you'll find they are more filling for the amounts of calories they have :)
hope this helps and all the best to you and your new family :)
