While I love bangs and don’t regret cutting them a few months ago, recently I’ve noticed myself pinning or braiding them back because, well, it’s just too darn hot. And while I don’t want to grow them out, I’m loving that I can change my look easily from day to day. Here are a few celeb-inspired ways to switch up your look and give yourself a little break from the heat!

Heather Morris’s Diagonal Pinned Pony
Heather made her simple ponytail style quirky and cute (just like her) by pulling her bangs back and pinning them on a diagonal. I love that it’s a little like a pompadour, which is everywhere right now!

To copy: To get a little volume on top of your pony, lightly tease your hair at the crown. Leave the front section of your hair out of your ponytail, then pull it back toward one ear slightly and tuck in a hairpin that matches your hair color. Anyone can pull that off--even if you're all thumbs when it comes to styling.

Gwen Stefani’s Twisty Look
Gwen is always an edgy trendsetter, and this hairstyle is no exception. I love this look for a casual weekend day getting brunch with your girls or hitting up a farmer’s market. The best part is that you can just wake up and go with this look – it will work best with dirty hair!

To copy: Again, leave the front section of your hair out of your ponytail. Then pull it over to one side and twist it into a mini bun, leaving a little bit of the ends free. Secure it with a mini elastic and wrap the free end of your hair around to cover it up. If you need more support, add a booby pin or two to keep the bun in place.

Julianne Hough’s Twisted Bun
Julianne’s do here is the epitome of easy summer style. Her messy bun gets a little upgrade with her adorable twisted and pinned bangs. There’s no way to mess this one up ladies, I promise! (Also, how great does she look? Perfect summer makeup and hair!!!)

To copy: Pull your hair back in a messy bun or top knot, again leaving the front section of your hair free. Then start randomly twisting and pinning pieces of your bangs back. There’s no right and wrong here. You’re going for charmingly disheveled! You could even add in mini braids to add some more texture and variation to the twists!

If you have bangs, would you try any of these? Which is your fave?
