Welcome back to Bikini Body Boot Camp, Day 2.  Today I would like to discuss “Where is this going and What are we doing?”. We all aim to succeed and success is attained with a proper game plan. We wouldn't take a road trip without setting our final destination into the navigation system, so let us treat our “Bikini Body” goal with the same respect. There is a better chance of taking a wrong turn and missing the transition if you do not set specific realistic goals for yourself.

The S.M.A.R.T.E.R. Mnemonic is a commonly used approach to designing goals, whether it be for fitness or other things. Goals should be:

Specific

Measurable

Achievable

Realistic and

Timely. They should also be

Evaluated and

Re-Evaluated at a later date.

Everyone loves a good list so here are my 9 ways to help you attain your fitness goals:

1. Write down your goals

Be specific and be honest with yourself. This is FOR you.

2. Set a Deadline

ie. It is realistic to loose 1 pound a week and it is recommended to train for 16 week to prepare for a marathon.

3. Visualize your goal

If this means making a vision board or purchasing those skinny jeans as a motivational tool, do it! No one knows what gets you motivated more than you.

4. Be Realistic

5. Find a workout Partner

This exponentially aids in the accountability factor.

6. Hire outside help if possible

If you are unable to hire a trainer, go to one of your local gyms and check out their group fitness classes, check your local listings for outside bootcamps or women's fitness camps.

7. Track your Progress

There are many different Apps available to you in this arena. (See Bikini Bootcamp Day 1 for some examples)

8. All good things take time

There is a good chance you will see a minuscule amount of progress in the first week. Stay committed and you are bound to see the progress

9. Take a rest day

Your workout is the architect and rest is the builder. Balance is key.
