Admit it: You can’t help but devour “What Not to Wear” when TLC runs the all-day marathons. Hour after hour you watch hopelessly unstylish women turn into more confident, chic versions of themselves while wishing that it would happen to you. Who wouldn’t love a few days to shop with Stacy and Clinton in New York? Well, now you can get a closet makeover with a little help from Stacy!

Stacy London recently created Style for Hire, a network of personal stylists who she hand picked. First, you and your stylist perform a closet audit, picking pieces to keep…and tossing the rest. Next, you go closet shopping: you’ll get help making fresh looks from what’s already in your closet, complete with pictures so you can recreate them later! You’ll find the pieces you need to mend and tailor to get the most of each investment, and then create a shopping list to fill in any holes.

I freaking love this idea. While I could use a stylist (not to mention my own personal hair stylist) pretty much any day of the week, I think it is perfect for women who are going through some sort of change in their lives. Lost weight? Go through your closet and get rid of those old, baggy items…then shop for what really flatters your new figure. Got a new job? Go closet shopping to see how you can make your duds work in a new corporate environment. Broke up with your guy? Take a stylist with you on your shopping binge and you’ll end up with only the best looks to snag someone new (with no regrets)!

So go on your own personal What Not to Wear journey with Style for Hire (minus all the mean jokes of course!)

Your thoughts: How would you use a stylist? To help you purge or buy something new?
