Daily Distraction: VMA Red Carpet Disasters

The VMAs are by far my favorite music-related award show. So many bad things happen. They let Russell Brand host for not one, but TWO years of awfulness. Kanye did his thing to TSwift. But nothing is worse than the cavalcade of bad fashion we’ve been subjected to over the years. Oh, it makes me shudder. Want to take a trip down fugly lane with me? Let’s go:

Oh Xtina. The scarf top is too much. (Or not enough?) And the makeup. 2002 was not a great year for you, sweetie.

We can always count on Lil Kim to bring it. And she difinitely brought...this. Is she a superhero? Wearing an effed up raincoat? It's...not great.

Can we file this under "Bad Decisions, Everything?"

There was not enough bleach to unsee this little number back in 1998. Oh Rose. Why did you have to do it? Did we need to ALL of you?!?

This is not even the worst of Britney's red carpet crimes. I'm pretty sure that award goes to her denim jumpsuit she matched to JT. Good times.

Yuck. Gaga, go away.

I'm sure for 1987 this was fantastic. I wouldn't know, I was working on walking and all of that. But God those shoulder tassels and the sparkly Jasmine look is really, really bad.

The 90s were a weird time.

It's just too much, Nikki. Didn't you ever hear you're supposed to remove an accessory before you leave the house? How about 25 accessories?
