As I said when I began this series, the three most popular questions I receive from my readers are: (1) How do I get over him? (2) Anything to do with cheating and (3) How do I know if a guy likes me?

You're right to be confused. Sometimes it can be difficult to tell if that cute guy thinks of you as more than a friend. But if you pay close attention, he's bound to give some clues to help you figure out if your crush is reciprocated. So be in doubt no longer, girlfriend! Here are the top five signs that show if a guy likes you:

He initiates conversations- If a guy likes you, he's going to want to be around you. Usually this means finding any excuse to talk to you. If he always asks you questions about something that happened in class or Facebooks you on a regular basis, that's a good sign. If he seems to put himself near you a lot, that's a great sign. If you're the one who's always talking to him first, that's a bad sign. Even if he's a bit shy or not much of a talker, you'll probably still notice him looking at you a bunch. (And maybe looking away when your eyes meet.) Here's a good rule to follow: If he's the one trying to get your attention, he probably likes you.

He tries to impress you- Some guys are just braggy show-offs (yuck!). But when a regular guy tries to make himself look good in your eyes, that can be a big indicator of his interest. He'll probably try to get "in" with your friends as well, in the hopes they'll say nice things about him. And if his friends tease him in front of you, he'll most likely get embarrassed. Essentially, he'll always want to put his best foot forward when you're around.

He's playful with you- Not much changes after the school yard years. Guys who have a crush will still tease girls they like. If he jokes around or says things to get you riled up, he might very well be trying to get a reaction from you to see if you like him back. Also be aware of playful touching. Even 20something guys are still kids at heart.

He notices things about you- Guys who are interested are more likely to pay attention to (and remember) the little things. Maybe he'll compliment you on something you're wearing. Or he might make note of the type of music you like and tell you to download a particular song. If he's interested in you, he'll be interested in your interests!

He treats you differently than other girls- It can be difficult to determine if flirts and players really like YOU. So watch how he acts toward other women. If you're one of many that he's trying to woo, beware! But if he treats you like you're special, that's a very good thing.

More often than not, we just KNOW when a particular guy is into us. And really, your gut is often your best guide. So pay attention to it! But if there's any doubt, these hints should help clear up any confusion.
