Did you know it’s 7-Eleven day?! If you’re wondering why today of all days, just take a second to glance at your calendar. To celebrate their 85th anniversary and the special date, 7-Eleven is giving away free Slurpees all day long. Since the closest 7-Eleven is still over 90 miles away from the Girls Guide To office, and we don’t have time for a mini-roadtrip, we’ve devised another way to celebrate the holiday- with homemade Slurpees!
These DIY Slurpees are super easy to make and the combinations are endless. Plus an icy drink is the perfect way to cool off in this heat wave. Enjoy!
3-Ingredient Slurpees
Ingredients
(Makes 2)
2 cups ice
about 1 cup carbonated beverage
1 tablespoon pre-sweetened Kool-Aid, Tang, or other drink powder
Directions
Put the ice in a blender. Add enough carbonated beverage to just make the ice float. Add in the pre-sweetened Kool-Aid. Blend until slushy. Serve at once.
Some possible combos are Cherry Kool-Aid with Sprite, or red cream soda with Tang, and basically any other combinations you can think of!
