I've read it a couple places but didn't try it until this morning. Being a college student, I'm on a really tight budget and can't afford to buy a billion different facial products. This morning I FINALLY tried using sugar in the raw as a facial scrub, and just rubbing it in once my face is wet, and it worked AMAZINGLY. I will never buy a scrub again. This is free and works just as well!!!

I used sugar in the raw because it's coarser and i have fairly oily skin. Also, I won't do it too often, but I'm sure you could use regularly granulated sugar as well. I was sure to wash my face with my normal face wash afterwards, cause I was afraid my skin might be sticky if I didn't get it all off.

This has nothing to do with the post, but I feel the need to say it, I'm using neutrogena skin ID, regime, and it really works. I've tried everything, and this is the only thing I've found that actually makes a difference in how often I break out!!!

Yes, sugar indeed does make a great scrub. What you can do to make it even better though is add honey and extra virgin olive oil for moisturizing benefits.
I learned it from this blog entry; http://ricebunny.xanga.com/624760557/olive-oil-sugar-scrub/

I was tentative about skinID too, but it has really worked. I a crazy about it haha. The regime it gave me didn't have a moisturizer included, so I purchased a neutrogena one separately to make sure my skin doesn't get too dry, and I think that helped.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I probably will only use it like once every two weeks, hahaha.

I've been reluctant to get skinID especially with how Proactive failed me. I might get it now. =]
I've used the sugar thing, it's quite nice but definitely not for a daily thing.
