3.14. How many times did we have to remember that number in high school? Luckily we now can use it an excuse to celebrate one of my favorite things...dessert. Dessert is the best part of a meal. And I don't know about you, but pie is a special dessert. It's not like a pan of brownies from a box that took 5 minutes to make (3 of which were waiting for the oven to preheat.) Pie takes a lot of work. You have to make the crust - notoriously difficult. If it's a fruit pie, you have to peel and slice the fruit. Takes forever! Then you have to carefuly bake it because no one likes an over done pie. No! It has to be perfectly golden brown.

But then you take a bite of that warm flaky crust and sweet filling covered in melting vanilla ice cream. It's worth it, non?

So in honor of Pi{e} Day, here's a round up of our favorite pies from Pinterest.

Pie Pops (Yes, you heard me. They are as adorable as they are delicious.)

Easy Key Lime Pie (Perfect for St. Patrick's Day.)

Skillet Apple Pie (Less crust = Less frustration.)

Blackberry Pie Bars (Pie in a pan. Awesome.)

Deep Dish Cookie Pie (I think that name says it all.)

Minnie's Chocolate Pie (For fans of The Help. Without the secret ingredient.)

What's your favorite pie? Do you have any special pie recipes?
