Rihanna is one of the celebrities you can always count on for entertaining tweets, like pics of herself in crazy outfits or her makeup-free face. But, in a recent tweet, another star was the center of attention. Rihanna tweeted the above Instagram photo of Beyonce. Bey looked as glam as always with makeup done to the nines and wearing a shimmery strapless dress. Rihanna wrote the caption: "This pic could single handedly destroy the self-esteem of an entire nation."

Obviously, Rihanna isn’t serious; she doesn’t really think that Beyonce’s beauty will ruin us all. She’s engaging in regular girlfriend behavior when one girl compliments another while self-deprecating herself. It’s like when you hear a girlfriend compliment another for looking fabulous, but while doing so adds that then everyone else looks like a slob in comparison. It’s similar to the backhanded compliment, like calling someone a “skinny bitch.” It just comes across as rude or bitter.

Our Verdict: WTF. We get that Beyonce is utterly fabulous, so her compliment is well-deserved. But there’s no need to add self-deprecation at the end. Personally, if someone said that to me, I wouldn’t even consider it a real compliment. Don’t let those self-insults slide if you hear a friend use one. And when you want to let your girlfriend know she looks super glam, just tell her and leave it at that. What do you think? Have you ever given a self-deprecation/compliment to someone? Does it bother you if someone gives you one?

if anything this just shows how fake some women really are. Beyonce is a beautiful woman no doubt but seriously? blonde hair and bright red lipstick. If anything this wont and shouldn't destroy any womans image.

beautiful isn't full make up, long weaves and overly shimmering dresses exposing much flesh all combined.
And destroying anyone's self esteem is: society going by the above sentence as an accepted guide for women to look like beautiful, glamorous and fabulous to the world.
