Why do I have to click the Facebook to see the site?
We did this to help safe-guard our community as a way to keep it exclusive to us.

How do I create a profile?
Super easy! Just click the Facebook Connect button and if you're a female your profile will be created for you. You can edit it if you'd like to by clicking the Edit link at the top where your profile information is.

What types of content can I post on here?
There are four main types: Articles, Videos, Links, and Questions

How do I post content?
Just click on the type of content you want to post from the links at the top of the page, by your profile information or in the box where it says Speak Up.

Can I post something anonymously?
YES!!!!! You can post articles, quick tips, videos, and questions anonymously.
This was at the top of our “Must-Have” list when building the site. We wanted this to be the place we go to about all the good, bad, ugly and taboo so we felt it was necessary to protect our privacy (if needed).

How do I post anonymously?
Just check the post anonymous box when you are submitting your content.

If I post something anonymous will all of my Facebook friends see it?
Absolutely not. If that was the case it wouldn’t be anonymous.

Why do I see my anonymous stuff in the MySpot feed?  Can other people see it?
You see it so that you can keep tabs on all the stuff you post on GGT. And NO only you can see it. When other members look at your profile your anonymous postings aren’t included.

What is publishing process?
1. You submit content.
2. It comes to us.
3. We make sure it is up to our publishing standards.
4. We give it the thumbs up.
5. It’s published on the site and you are notified that it has been posted on the site. 

Why does all content have to approved before it can published?
Our site is all about bringing us ladies the best so our editors must approve each piece of content in order to ensure that we maintain the highest quality of content for our members. 

What does the whole following/follower thing mean?
Basically it’s saying that you’re a fan of that member. You like the stuff she posts and wants to be first to know when she posts more stuff. It’s easier than having to search because it’s all right there on your profile.

How do I follow someone?
Just click on the “Follow Me” link on their profile… and voila! You are now following that member.

What does it mean if someone is following me?
It means… “Congrats!” someone likes what you’re contributing to the site. Keep it coming!

How do I unfollow someone?
Just go to that person’s profile and click on Stop Following Me.

How do I set my status?
Go to your profile and underneath your picture is the status box. Type away… Press the button…And your status is set.

What does the “like” button mean?
The “like” button means you like that piece of content. The more likes a piece of content gets the higher it’s rated on the site. 

How do I get my stuff to be in the hottest category?
Well we’re not going to rig the votes so the best way is to start telling your friends, co-workers, any cool chicks you know to sign up and vote for your stuff. And definitely don’t take it personal if your stuff isn’t listed at the top. We plan to be around awhile so just keep the content coming in.

How do I vote on something?
Just click yes or no. You’re only allowed one vote per content piece. So don’t be impulsive…Give it a second or two to decide if you truly think that piece of content is hot or not.

How do I share my stuff?
Just click on the Share link at the bottom of each piece of content. It’ll allow you to share that piece of content with your facebook friends.

Who can see my profile?
Only members can see your profile.

What do the tabs on the top mean?
The tabs were created to make your life easy.

* Newest: All the newest stuff that’s been posted to the site
* Hottest: The most popular stuff that’s been posted on the site
* Articles: Think of these as blog posts submitted by the fabulous women on this site.
* Videos: These are videos either filmed by HerHotSpot member or found online.
* Link: If you have any links you think the GGTo community will like from news stories to a good laugh this is the place to share them.
* Questions: Where women can ask the community anything... and remember you can do this anonymously. 
* TheFeed: A running feed of what’s happening on the site.

Who are the “Feature Members"?
These are members of the site who are contributing the most content. They are our “resident experts”. If you’d like to apply to be one please send an email to featureme@girlsguideto.com. Please tell us a little bit about yourself and include your blog, website, or social network links.

Why are some things featured?
Things will be featured for a variety of reasons. It’s usually because one of Featured Members has written it and we think it’s fabulous!

How do I delete my account?
If you’d like to delete your account please contact brette@herhotspot.com and we will be sure to do as you please. However, we think you’re making a big mistake.
