I decided to have a birthday dinner at my place rather than go out and make everyone spend lots of money. Anyone have any good recipes or suggestions I should consider-- there's going to be about 25 people? It's BYOB so I'm not concerned with drinks but I want to make sure there is good stuff to eat.

How do you approach roommates who are slobs and never clean? I have 3 roommates, and I'm not a neat freak, but I DO think the common areas (kitchen, living room, dining room) should at least be kept tidy. However, I seem to be the only one who feels this way, and don't know how to talk to the other girls about it, since I'm the new one in the house.
