How do you motivate yourself to stay on a diet? I've tried, but I always seem to give up the moment the initial excitement of "omg I'm gonna look great" wears off. How do you prevent that? Anything you tell yourself or any reward systems you use? Thanks!

I'm a college student going to a culinary school for baking - so we have to try everything we eat, but my roommates and I are trying to get fit before we leave for externship in July. We're walking twice a day - before and after class - and doing some other workouts, but we are having a hard time eating right since we don't have great choices for food all the time.

Seriously, if I see one more berry pill or powder on TV that is being touted as the latest and greatest miracle diet - I am going to hang myself with a Marc Jacobs Stam bag. Unless you count lipo or a prescription diet pill - there is no magic to losing weight - it is all about diet and exercise and getting the right nutrients into your body.

HELP! I need to lose weight like 20 pounds. I've lost and gained 30 pounds in the past two years, and it's miserable. I have almost no willpower when it comes to food. I can exercise just fine, but never enough to work off what I eat. When I cut out sweets completely, I ruin my diet within 24 hours. Any suggestions, success stories?

I'm going to start a diet today, including exercise and healthy eating. No diet foods, no fake products, anything fake is off the menu. I'm also a vegetarian. No fish, no meat, no poultry. I eat eggs from a local farm, which is a plus as far as health goes. My only problem is staying motivated to do it.

Is Organic really Better? I read that sometimes organic foods have bad chemicals on them because they need to be kept fresh as they are traveling to market. Also, they do not have much more nutritional content as conventional food. What is the major difference between the two and what is the big deal?

I recently got test results from my doctor apparently I have hypoglycemia. So I have to start eating healthier and change my whole lifestyle. She told me to start eating 6 small meals a day. Which is going to be quite a task since usually I only eat 1-2 small meals a day, because I'm usually just not very hungry. To get to the point I'm trying to figure out what to eat. I'm pretty picky.

The 7 Red Flags of a Bad Diet

Many times we read an article about a generalized diet program that was designed for one person or for people that don't match up to our lifestlye or genetic make up. The following article written by Elizabeth Somer gives us the 7 red flags of a bad diet. In other words, that "restricted diet" you may be on could be a bad fit and making you fat -- not fit. If you are noticing any of these symptoms it is probably time to "tweak" your diet.
