I am soon leaving for a year abroad as part of my college education. An older (by about one generation) friend and classmate, whom I have known for less than a year (We've had two classes together and this term sit by each other, work on class assignments together, etc.). Today she gave me a very lavish gift (in my starving college student opinion) from a high-priced boutique.

I am going to be moving to a different state in a year, and I've been looking at my possible living arrangements...moving in with people etc. A recent plan that has come to mind is to invest in buying my first home. I don't know how to prepare and I want to know where to go for the right protection in buying my first home, and is 21 too young? Where should I start?

I'm 19 and I've been arguing with my mother for a very long time. I've been trying to find apartments to move into with no luck- everything is way too expensive at about $600-$700 a month. I have a part time job that gives me about $90 on the weeks with the least amount of hours, but I usually get about $120 a week.

How am I sure of the right career? They all kinda involve helping people so I'm pretty sure I want to help but it's deciding. I like to think I'm confident and my grades say I can do pretty much anything but I need help. Talking to my family hasn't really helped so...

So my roommate is a very sexual person. Well the problem with that is that she and her... errr... sort of boyfriend are having sex four times a day when she knows I'm in the house and they pound the bed against the wall and it sounds like she is going to scream the roof off. Sometimes my boyfriend is there and he hears all of it and all of her sexual noises.

I'm about to move in with a few of my friends this summer... and my boyfriend. I am almost 20, going to school and working part time and I need to move out soon because my family, who I am currently living with, are moving out of state and I want to stay here (California) to go to school.

Can you please tell me what to pack if I want to fly light and be those girl's who zip thru the 'port in one go?

I was recently asked to be in the wedding party of a decent friend. (We're not too close, but we're friends) Another girl wouldn't be in town for the day of the wedding so she asked another girl. I hate this girl.

In my apartment complex we have a pool, and every Spring ducks come and lay their eggs and have babies. They never bother anyone, but the other tenants hate having them around. Last year, after the ducks had babies the children of the complex turned the jets on the baby ducks in the hot tub and the poor things drowned. The mother duck was heart broken.

I was hoping someone could give me some tips on how I can learn to better manage my money and save it. Are there any tricks any of you use that has helped? I've heard putting your change into a bottle at the end of the day and using the total for spending money from friends but are there any others any of you have tried? I really need to start saving my money today because my bills are piling up.
