I need help with dandruff... No matter what I use, it continuously gets worse. I've tried Head & Shoulders, Ganier, Pert, T-Gel, and some off-brand shampoos. T-Gel worked the best, but since I dye my hair, it faded pretty badly. Is there anything else out there that can help me? Are there any tips and home remedies that can help reduce this issue?

I have really dry hair and that is what causes my dandruff or as my hair stylist calls it dry scalp so I use Assie 3 minute miracle on my hair once a week along with Aussie shampoo alternated with Selsum Blue. I make sure that I don't use selsum blue two days in a row it strips your hair of oils that it needs.
I got a prescription for Luxiq from my Dr. It cured my dry scalp in 3 days and I apply it once a week just to keep it away. I also tried most of the OTC shampoos before going to my Dr. no luck with those.
I had the same problem, just don't use the harsh shampoos you have been using. They actually make it harder for you're scalp to heal... Ted Gibson makes this awesome shampoo that is just for color treated hair, and it works amazing. its a little on the expensinve side, but totally worth it.
Dying your hair could be the cause of the dandruff. It dries your scalp and hair out pretty bad. You might consider giving it a break from that, and trying some of the stuff above.
u get dandruff coz ur hair is too dry.. try using some oil.. i dont know wether ur'll use oil...:) in my country we do so
I know this is a while after the post, and I'm not sure if your still having this problem. I'm a cosmetologist myself and dandruff and dry scalp are two separate things. Dandruff is actually a medical condition and is rare. Most people have dry scalp which can be caused from many different things. If you haven't yet, I would try Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree products. They help to soothe your scalp and feel tingly and cool when applied. If that doesn't work I would definitely see your doctor or dermatologist.
i had the same problem.. i used bioderma dandruff shampoo
