I really need help, I have really bad stage fright, every time I have to do something in front of people I start shaking and sweating uncontrollably, even if it's in front of a small group of people. I have to a presentation coming up and I don't know what to do!! Please help, oh and I've tried breathing deeply but it doesn't help.

try recording your performance/ presentation alone and playing it on the tv for people to see.

I know at least 70%-85% of people have some fear of public speaking. It is also very common to be severe. This may actually need some therapy help. There's NOTHING wrong with that. It's extremely common and getting some counselling or psychology help is totally okay.

If not. Make a list of your biggest fears of what could go wrong and why you think about them and break it down into delicate details and figure out how to solve your problem piece by piece! Don't worry! You'll be fine!!! Good luck!!!

I was an actress and pianist in High School, and took up public speaking in college. So, I have done small groups, and large groups of up to 1,200 people. I have found that tactic works well. When on stage. in front of 1,200 people, it can be extremely intimidating, and anything that calms you down, Such as pretending the front of the room is in their underwear-is a very non-intimidating type practice. It is important to be at your best. Practice makes perfection! recite your speech over and over again in the mirror. Next, you will need focal points. when on stage, It is important to connect with your audience, but don't stare them down. glance! look for the friendly face in the crowd. Avoid potential hacklers. glance from one face to another, with your centerpoint being the walls on either side, orthe exit signs or doors. your speech, let your eyes dance from one side of the room, to a face, to an exit sign, gracefully from one side of the room, to the next.the paper in front of you, is of course, your most important focal point, but dont bury your nose in it. be of some interest to your audience, so that they are agreeing with you. There it is in a nutshell.
A good Drama teacher would know what the heck I am talking about (LOL) considering I learned it from a drama teacher!
good luck to you! oh, and as for the sweaty palms?
try a little deodorant on the palms of your hands. always worked for me.
good luck! and yes, people will remember you down the road if you are any good. I still have people from my old HS 20 years ago who remember I was on stage(LOL) it was a blast.

all of the above is very good advice...but there could also be a small chance that you have something that is beyond stage fright. Do you have any other symptoms, like trouble being in crowds, driving, overpasses, heart palpitations, anything like that? If you do, you may be suffering from a panic or an anxiety disorder. If this is the case, meds could help you a lot with your symptoms.
