I'm engaged to an amazing guy, and we haven't been careful at all to prevent pregnancy. We're not trying, but we're not trying to stop it either. I'm over two weeks late for my period, and 4 days ago I took a test. It was negative. I know periods can be affected by stress and stuff like that, but should I take another test? I've been having bad headaches and nauseous but never thrown up or anything.

Take another test, as soon as you wake up I think you get the best accurate results. If you do not get your period by the end of this month, negative test or not, go to the doctor. I hope all is well and you get the results you want!

PS. I suggest you get the pregnancy patch, pill, shot, ring or BC to prevent things like this happening again. You can get them from Planned Parenthood for free to cheap.

Keep taking tests. If you're not actually pregnant, you're probably stressing out, which causes your period to be late. I'm sure I don't need to tell you this now, but you really should be using contraception if you don't want anything unexpected.

If you take a test and it's negative, but you really think you are pregnant, see a doctor for a blood pregnancy test. I had a scare recently when I thought my birth control failed, but it turns out that I was just stressed out.

And I agree with the two people above me... if you're not ready for kids, you should really be doing more to prevent pregnancy.
