How can I layer tops without looking fat? I have loads of cute tanks that I would love to wear, but I can't wear them by themselves because I don't like my bra showing (which is another, and more difficult problem entirely-- not being able to find a good strapless bra for my big boobs!). Past years I would layer the top over another tank with wider straps, but I am no longer as skinny as I once was, and feel like layering makes me look bigger! Any tips?
Ok, so first, dont worry about showing your straps. Noone really cares. As long as you bra is the same colour as the shirt, dont worry about it, because noone is gonna be able to tell the difference between your strapn the shirt.
Second, layer dark ontop of light coloured tanks. It gives the impression that your torso is longer then it actuly is.
n Third, and prolly the most important, dont think about if you have rolls showing, or worry about if it makes you look fat. As long as you act confident n feel like you look good, everyone else will think it as well. What people really admire in a girl is self-confidence. As long as you have that, people will think you are gorgeous(they prolly think that already), n you'll start to believe it too!!
I find that layering actually makes me look thinner, even makes my cup size E boobs look smaller. I also think that if your straps looks more like a tank tops straps then it doesn't matter, just stay away from those hideous wide padded straps.
I went into Victoria's Secret to find a good strapless bra for my prom, so you should try looking there. I'm a 36 D and I love the bra I found. It has detachable straps.
Belts always help! Also go to tyra.com to get some ideas, she has great ideas.
