Hey ladies! I just need some quick advice. I met this really great guy recently. We have a lot in common--I mean A LOT--and he's pretty much my dream guy, the guy I always wanted. He's very very kind to me and very understanding and extremely supportive of me in every way and he loves what I love. He's everything I've ever wanted in a guy and I really really like him too. He's made it clear that he likes me. The only problem that I can see is the difference in our ages. I'm 20 and he's 28. So my question is, when it comes to love--real love--does age really matter? Is it just bad timing that I was born 8 years after he was, yet he's the perfect guy for me? I want to be with him, but the age thing keeps scaring me off only because I'm unsure of how people will think of us, when I already know that a relationship is the two people in it and not the people around it. But my family is very important to me also, and I'm just not sure how they might feel about me dating an older guy. So should I take a chance and date a guy older than me regardless of what people might say, or do I let him pass by and stay his friend because of his age? Please lend me some advice. It would really be appreciated greatly. Thank you.

I don't think age should matter at all, in my family we have always had big age gaps so I wouldn't think anything of it... I'm the same age as you and I have always gone out with guys that are a few years older than me, personally I think they're more mature and thats a big thing for me! If you really like him and have heaps in common, then I think you should just forget about the age and just go for it. :)

Hey!, honestly, i think age differences doesn't matter at all. Like most people say: 'age is just a number' however, a lot of people judge by age. But does that even matter?? you should make your own decisions without the influences of others!! but. if i was 20, and my crush was 28, it wouldn't bother me at all!!,

Age does not matter, like you and that guy, my parents are 8 years apart and well that might be weird when girls are in high school out of high school its not a problem at all.
