On a first date I always wear something comfortable yet cute. You're nervous to begin with so why feel uncomfortable in what you're wearing too...? It's the perfect equation for a bad night and no one wants that

I always opt for jeans and a shirt that is cute yet sexy. Don't look like you're trying too hard because it's a turn-off. A guy asked you out because he saw something in you he liked but don't misrepresent yourself by trying to be something you are not.

I guess what you should wear is based on your personal style. From my view, a girl can never go wrong with a pair of dark wash jeans (they always scream sophisticated funk) a funky top...or classy depending on your crowd, and some comfortable yet enviable shoes. Keep the accessories to a minimum because believe it or not they can weigh you down and guys don't really get a girl with a bunch of stuff piled on her. I've actually had a guy ask me why girls want to look like they just robbed claire's accessories. I always try to minimize my palette, lol I'm a designer so yeah my palette, and have one thing that's the focal point of my outfit.

Two last things: 1) if you're not comfortable in your outfit you won't be comfortable at all. So try to ensure you're cute but comfy and 2) The Ultimate Guru Chanel told us to check yourself in the mirror before you leave and take one accessory off. Remember that all you Claire's klepto's!

I love all firsts. No matter what you do spice it up - if you opt for jeans and a T pair it with some great tall boots and accessories. I know for myself I like to wear a dress and heels - on a first date I would go for something memorable like a 40s retro structured dress. I like making a statement and wearing very classy stuff, so try something that suits the place you are going but also your style and then add a bit of whimsy to it so it will be memorable.

i never think about this! i must be a nub. haha. on my first "date" with my boyfriend, i was wearing jeans and a regular tshirt, and we went to an abandoned lumber yard to take pictures. it was a lot of fun, and because of the occasion of the first date, i didn't really even have to think of what i was going to wear. he was obviously impressed because we're still together, still very happy, after a little over a year and a half :) my advice: don't try to hard. be yourself. what were you wearing when you met him? you don't necessarily have to dress up, but dress for the occasion and the place you're going. and stay relaxed. :)

your best not making too much of an effort,
just go out in what you normally wear, when your with your friends and stuff.

I suppose it depends where your having ur first date, if its for drinks or dinner then i would say go for something cute and stylish like skinny jeans or a pencil skirt.
Always wear something that makes you look and feel good and highlights your best assets.
But if your going cinema etc: then definately go for more relaxed and comfortable.... also never pile on 2 much makeup or accesories, men like it when it looks like a women hasnt taken 10 hours 2 get ready (even if it has lol)

If he's already agreed to a date with you, then he's into you as you are. Just wear something that shows off who you are, and stick to what you like to be in as opposed to what you think he wants to see you in. He's going to like it regardless. ;)

i'd have to say that for a first date u really should be comfortable, but then again it really depend on what ur doing on this date. If the guy doesn't tell u the plan then keep it at jeans (dark wash), tee shirt, button up shirt, or a cute cami with a cute cardigan. Accessorize with simple jewelry and shoes that u'll be ok to walk in. Make up should be light and playful, play up ur eyes and lips... the classic look always looks nice and it doesn't look like it took u all day to get ready. Trust me guys hate when u take forever getting ready, i think cause its a high maintenance trait. Oh and always have fun, the more u have the less time u worry about the date and how everything is going. Plus it makes it easier to get to know the guy.

It should be comfortable and natural. don't overdress. that will either scare or impress him.
Just try jeans with a cute blouse and nice shoes. it sholdn't be too much.

It totally depends on what you're going to be doing on your date. If you're going to a fancy restaurant (which is unlikely for a first date), wear a nice, but comfortable dress. If you're just eating at a regular restaurant, and maybe going to the movies/bowling/park/etc. after, keep it simple: jeans or a cute skirt (depending on weather), a cute tee, or something more classy if you like, and sneakers or slip-ons. If you think you will be cold (I know theatres get a bit chilly) you should bring a light jacket or hoodie. Stay true to your style with all these suggestions, and choose one cool accessory to fancy things up a bit. Don't over-do it in that department. I tend to wear only a pair of earrings, because I have a big collection of weird sets, and they draw a lot of attention to themselves.
Make-up wise, I would say less is more, but that's how I always tend to lean, being a glasses wearer. I know I like to play with my style in terms of clothing, so I guess you can do something cute with your make-up. But know what you're doing. Otherwise, you might scare him away.
Like everyone else seems to have said, be sure you're comfortable in whatever you are wearing. I avoid anything I wouldn't be comfortable wearing, so I just see this as a no-brainer, but then again, us girls can do crazy things in the name of beauty.

i wear skinny jeans, a v neck shirt, and flats or my slip on vans. it's simple, it's cute, it's playful, and it lets him know you're very relaxed around him. that's what i wear, anyway. my hair is short so i straighten it and mess it up a bit. a good amount of eyeliner and barely lipstick-stained lips, for added color. go simple.

i guess it depends on where youre going, but i've never worn jeans on a first date, i like to get all dressy. i look cute and i have higher self-esteem knowing that. guys love heels, so pair them with a cute dress. dressy doesnt mean slutty, but you can still be sexy, first impressions are fun.

i don't know if someone already said this:
when i was talking to my cousins and some of their friends, one thing they agreed on was if you wear heels the first date, be ready to wear them every other date.
what i got out of it was, don't go overboard trying to impress a guy with appearance if your not willing to do that much over and over again.

I guess it depends on where your going. If its to a casual spot, just pair a cute top and some jeans, also with some ballet flats. If its to a more dressy spot, wear either that "little black dress" and maybe heels. If not, ballet flats. Or you could go feisty and wear a sexy red dress and heels. I think any of those would work well.

ok well for me, when i go on a first date, i try to wear something that isnt to sexy but shows some skin, so i usually wear, my dark skinny jeans, with either a tank or a v neck t-shirt just something that tells him your intersted, but you dont want to make it look like you want him right at this moment.

wear somethings that is YOU.. that is vital :) you dont want to go too ott and then later find yuo feel uncomfortable with what your wearing. also if you wear something thats not you then he will see you differently :/ id agree and say jeans and a t shirt. and depending on the weather wear a scarf or hat? and again, depending on the weather wear boots or dolly shoes or trainers.. depends were your going too :) have fun :D x

Definitely wear something you feel comfortable in! You don't want to be worried constantly about your tummy or bra strap showing, or worried about sweating too much. Also, make sure to wear something that makes you feel confident! It will definitely show and confidence is sexy!

Also, if you're looking for something more than a one-night-stand and a little bit more serious, make sure to show just the right amount of skin. Leave something to the imagination and leave him wanting more!
