IPhone or Blackberry? I'm thinking about buying a new phone, and I'm with T-Mobile. But regardless of the carrier, which phone is better as far as practicality?

Anyone who knows me knows that I have the worst luck with cell phones however with that being said I've had a lot of experience with different blackberries. Even though the iPhone has better apps and cooler features, the touch screen drives me crazy! So I opt for Blackberry... Recently got the Blackberry Tour and so far I really like it :)

Blackberry!!

Without a doubt go with the blackberry. If you have to use your phone for business or even use it a lot for personal emails, you will regret the touch screen decision of the iphone. The Blackberry is seriously the best phone I have ever had. The amount of time I usually keep one phone normally lasted no longer than 6 months, and i have had my blackberry for two years. I honestly cannot recommend a blackberry more highly, the iphone looks cool and has a lot of fun apps etc, but it cant compare to the user friendly, ease of a Blackberry!
Good luck!

I have a Blackberry Storm and it took some getting used to the touch screen but I love it! I didn't want an Iphone because 1. I cannot type on the thing. 2. I didn't like the service or plans which come with AT&T. And most of my friends do love their iphones but they are always cutting out on them. I find it really annoying. I do love the camera on the iphone though. It's quite good for a cell phone. But if you don't care about such things then go with the Blackberry. It's the only device you can link corporate email accounts to because you cannot hack a Blackberry. Plus you can put dozens of email accounts to it. Additionally there is blackberry messenger which works like IM but doesn't count against minutes or txt messages. So if you want you can lower your text messaging on your plan and save some money. That's what I have done with mine.

Thanks! Good to know ;p

I use to have the samsung instinct from sprint which was like their version of the iphone (not even close)...well this past may I switched to the blackberry curve. I wasnt sure if I was going to like it because I loved my touch screen phone but I LOVE IT! I definitely recommend a Blackberry. IPhone is more for fun, but you can use your BB for fun and for work! :)

most people get very annoyed with iphones after a while because of the touch screen,
so if you plan to have it for a while,
i'd suggest you get a blackberry, theyre pretty nice

I had to face this decision last Christmas, and I would DEFINITELY reccomend the Blackberry. Right before I got mine, my sister got the iPhone and it SUCKED!! I got the Blackberry Curve 8310, and I loved it. Sadly, I dropped it in the toilet exactly 1 week after getting it. :[ I get a new one for my birthday in November though. :]

blackberry for sure. i have a tour, had a pearl .. love love love em!

BlackBerry for sure! The i-Phone Sucks! Plus The BlackBerry Had The BlackBerry Messenger! And if ur Getting The Bold it has 3G and it's Leather. i Have the BlackBerry Bold and i really recommend u buy it ;]

First off, I seriously recommend you get a different carrier, like Verizon. But the Blackberry would probably be a better bet. I haven't had either, but I'm getting a Blackberry when my plan expires.

I have an iPhone and I use it for EVERYTHING!!! Never had a blackberry but everyone I know that does have on is on their second or third one. Seems like they always break. Everyone is always complaining that the speakers go out of the hearing device goes in and out. If you don't like the touchscreen, of course get a blackberry instead. However, I think if you are wanting to use it for business the iPhone has tons of apps for it. I micromanage my mom's business from my phone, order supplies, check on packages, cash flow, and I can even print things to my printer while I'm outside on the phone with people (( as long as I'm in the bluetooth radius with my printer which is actually pretty far)) it just depends on what you are trying to use it for. There really IS an application for everything. I have flash cards for my daughter for when we are in waiting rooms at the hospital or if she gets bored doing whatever. People say it breaks, but I've broken every phone I've ever had, except this one.

blackberry! and then throw in some girly pink/ purple cover juz so it wouldnt look too formal ;)

I had a BB but traded it in for an upgrade to the iPhone. Never looked back. It is like going from a VW to a Caddy! I seemed to have to scroll so much with the BB it was annoying.

Blackberry!! The touch screen on the iTouch goes out too quick..

I would recommend the Blackberry. I have a blackberry pearl and wouldn't trade it for anything.
Of course, everyone is different -- I prefer to keep my phone, and my music, separate.

It depends on what you need it for.
I use the calendar for appointments, and adore the camera for convenience.
iPhones are cute with all of their applications, but not something I am in the market for.

Check both out before making s decision. :)

iphone!!!! u can literally do anything on it!! especially if u hack it :)

Blackberry for sure!
I'm using Blackberry Bold over almost a year it's a great device ..

personally, i own an iphone. like any other phone you will get, it takes a while to get used to to solve the various problems others have pointed out above (typing sucks, can't handle touch screen, yada yada). I have no problems typing up a whole 1400 word email with it, or a 3200 word blog post with it either, because I have had it for so long. The apps are a wonderful part of the Iphone culture, not to mention the screen is big enough to watch movies on it, read e-books on it (albeit it can be a strain due to the brightness of the screen) and... with some apps, you can even write your college essay/work excel files on it.

That said, unlike some of the above people, I can't tell you how it compares to the Blackberry as I haven't had it for the whole year like I had with my iphone. The only other thing I can say in comparison is: Blackberry, to uitilise most of the internet-based functions, you need to have a plan that fixes directly to the BB server. Not sure how it works where you live, but in Australia, that means that you can't have a pre-paid plan attached to it because none of the pre-paid services has specialised connections to the BB server.

i'm going to be getting the samsung moment tomorrow. i am beyond excited. i really wanted an iphone but refuse to get at&t. this phone has all the features i need and has alot of cool apps too. its an android phone with a faster processor. so its not a blackberry or an iphone.
