We have all come some kind of complex with out lady buts but please do not worry as like any part of the anatamy or like feet, hands, boobs, noses all come in different shapes and sizes. I have had a complex about various different parts of my body but my current bloke loves my body and any guy who makes any kind of comment is shallow and does not deserve your time of day so quit the worrying love your body.

i do too and it makes me feel really insecure but my boyfriend says that i look completely normal and that has helped me to be ok with it. but i still feel a little insecure about so i understand but just realize that everyone is differnent and there are other people out there who feel the same way as you do about yours. i felt relieved to know that somebody else is insecure about the same thing that im insecure about

If youre really uncomfortable with it theres a procedure called labiaplasty you can get done to reduce the size, its more common than you would think.

trust me no one man grossed out by those parts. they are happy no matter what sizes and shpaes are down there.

yeah i agree, i was always worried that there was something wrong with me, especially since it can occasionally make sex difficult when i have lots of it as i am very sensitive. but every guy i have ever slept with has either not commented, or has been merely curious. i've never had a hurtful remark from anyone. i would consider labiaplasty or whatever its called, but purely as a result of discomfort, not aesthetics.

I always have had insecurities about my female parts, but my boyfriend ALWAYS tells me how beautiful he thinks my whole body is (and I'm no super model, trust me!). If any guys you're with tells you any different, he's not good material!!!! In all honesty, I believe guys are just as insecure with their bodies (if not more so) than girls are!!

i have long one too. and ive always had them. i was made fun of once about 7 years ago because of them, in a swim suit. ever since then, i've been very self-conscious. my boyfriend loves them, at first he was like whatever, and now i think its his favorite part. i still dont like them, but im dealing with them

Having a large or unevenly sized labia is pretty normal -- but there are people out there who prey on women's insecurities in an effort to make money. I actually saw one site claim that a smaller labia looked more "feminine". ... I am not kidding. What is sicker than telling a woman that the part that defines her as a woman is somehow unfeminine?

1) Small labias look like a child's. There's a trend in pornography towards making women look as close to underaged as possible without them actually being underaged -- including the shaving of pubic hair and only using women with small/surgically reduced labias.

2) In reality, a lot of men look at this and are disturbed. (Most guys don't want to have sex with children.) Porn is fantasy sex, and it tends to border on, if not cross the line into, disturbing. If this is where you're getting your impression of what a labia is "supposed to" look like, stop right now. Your lady parts make you look like a lady. Be happy for it.

I also have a larger one...but in all actuality it makes the sex better...some women's anatomy is more on the inside but having a flower like ours which is on the outside is more pleasurable for the man...trust me when I say this ;)

I used to be embarrassed by my labia. I watched a little porn, and all the women looked like they didn't even have inner labia.
But you know what? My boyfriend says he loves my vagina/vulva. He literally compliments me at least once a week, and not because I said anything. A lot of guys like a little labia, rather than none at all. So long as they don't get in the way, there is nothing wrong. If a guy says anything, it's probably because he's a virgin, and watches way too much overly plasticized porn. So, don't take that shit.

I am very surprised at how common this is. I took so many health courses in high school and they never once mentioned this to be normal. I hardly have self-esteem as it is, but this made me feel even worse. I am wondering though, is there a little discoloration on the larger labia? I have always wondered if there might be something more going on with mine since it seems to be . I have never had a pap smear, so I don't know how things are suppose to be.

well if you have never had a pap smear and you are over 21 or have been sexually active for at least 2yrs, its time to get check-ups at least once every 2 years (my doctors words).

I am only 19 and still a virgin. I've been to an OB before and she said that since I am not at risk for any STDs/STIs that I can wait until I'm 21. Since I am so uncomfortable with this condition, I definitely want to wait as long as I can. I also don't feel comfortable asking the doctor if everything looks good down there. I feel that it's a little awkward.

You know, I didn't even know that people could have long labia until I came across a webpage on it. Then I asked my boyfriend if I did and he went 'Oh, yeah, you do. Yours are quite long actually.' XD I felt really self-conscious and got all embarrassed, but he just shrugged and said 'Vaginas are as different as faces. It really doesn't bother me. Actually, I quite like it. Guys tend to.' :P As long as he's fine with it I'm not too fussed. But srsly, everybody's different. Dw about it.

Longer labia is actually very common. I woundn't worry about getting surgery unless it is causing discomfort. You can always talk to your OB/GYN about it if it seriously bothers you.

My vagina certainly isn't designer so this is something I've actuallly quizzed male friends and boyfriends about. Unanimously, they have told me that it isn't a big deal and that it's the last thing on their minds in a situation where they see them :P

I really wouldn't worry about it hun. If they love you they won't care. And even if they don't love you, they don't either. And I know that's easy to say but heart-of-hearts I believe it's true :)

Personally....I think that when a guy is having sex with you, the size of your labia is the last thing on his mind! He's just thinking.....oh yeah, I love loving this girl/woman!! I promise! And I'm sure they're aware that all of us are built different, just like the guys are all built different. Who would want everyone to be the same? And if he loves you....it doesn't matter one bit to him. :)
