So I'm newly single (in college) and I've never really cared at all about what I wear to class but now I'm starting to care a little bit more so my question is what should you wear to class so that you look cute/presentable but not trying too hard?

I am also a single, college student with the same issues. I usually wear a V-neck in a neutral color, with a colorful scarf,(if it's cold). With jeans and usually uggs, or any kind of boot. Flats work too.
When it's warm out, you'll always catch girls in shorts, but not really short. Striped shorts, like pinstripes are really in during the summer because you can pair them with a solid shirt in any style. Hope I helped!

You can still be cute AND comfortable, attention from the male population of your classes is not the only thing noticeable - teachers respect you more when you look presentable. Try solid colors, dresses are a favorite of mine because they are easy to toss on and you don't have to worry about making up an entire outfit early in the a.m. when you've been up all night studying (or partying!). Dark wash jeans are a classy but comfortable look that match just about any top you own. Heels are fun but not always practical (especially if you have a long trek to class) there are tons of cute flats that work to pull your look together. Don't where anything too binding (trying too hard/uncomfortable/make it hard to concentrate), and please the only way booty shorts and UGGs work in the same outfit is if you're at the beach, baggy t-shirts are for bed, working out etc. they're too laid back. I hope this helps!

hi! I'm in college too and it IS easy to just wear jeans and a tee, but i agree with what someone else said, that teachers may think more highly of you if you take time with your appearance you will take time with the class, too. (that was a terrible run-on sentence for a college student) to the point! I think the key to looking put together with little effort is patterns and jewelry. You can wear jeans with flats or sandals, a pretty patterned top and some earrings or necklace and look perfectly presentable Also, aside from patterns, look for simple detailing when shopping for tops that give it a little something extra, then pair it with jeans, a pencil skirt, maybe even trousers! (i love trousers) .. which leads me to skirts! they are are a great option, too. Wear a patterned skirt with a plain v-neck tee throw on a scarf or bracelet (or both!) and you're set. Thrift shops always have GREAT inexpensive skirts if you're not opposed to them. Also, don't shy away from dresses! They are so under-appreciated, (too feminine, etc) but if you purchase a more basic one you can then you can layer over it. example: open or buttoned cardigan, a wide or skinny belt, or a belt AND a cardigan (always do a skinny belt over a cardi)

PS. don't be scared of just a jeans/tee look, if you throw on a jacket or some sweet kicks, it's always an easy go-to!
also, if you like fashion magazines but they kind of intimidate you, Lucky mag is fantasic. marketed for 20-somethings and the looks are simple to replicate with your own twist. Hope this helps a little! :)

You don't need to wear your Sunday best. But don't go to class with some crappy clothes on. Take a look around what do other girls wear to class? Find someone who you think reminds you of you, and then wear similar stuff to her.

Cute Jeans are a MUST!
They go with everything... a fitted t shirt, a button up shirt, a sexy night out shirt, etc... start with cute jeans, and add to that based on your mood and the day! Add a pair of earrings or bangles for the finishing touch.

Don't try too hard though. You don't want the guys to see you as desperate or easy becuz you are trying tooooooo hard. Just go for cute and comfortable!

where what YOU like. i have found that when i really dont care what others think i look hot :)

This girl's channel named, PinkIntellect15 on youtube.

But to class I will wear shorts and tanks, flip flops.
Cute jeans, tanks, and cute tennis.
A white shirt, a cute scarf, flats.
Graphic T, vest, flats or tennis which ever looks better.
A pretty sin dress and sandals.
A blazer when I really want to look nice and of course blue jeans with flats, or a slight, SMALL heel.
Or if I really want to look cute because I am working on a project with that hot guy ;-) a romper, and some wedges maybe.

Also a belt can make any fit cute and make YOU look smaller!
