I always tend to overeat around the holidays with all the good food around me. What are some good tricks or tips to prevent this from happening this year???

Well, what I do is I eat in portions. I eat enough to fill me up, not completely but enough to last me three or four hours. I eat like seven or eight times a day. But I remain skinny this way. And like everyone is saying, drinks loads. Try drinking some healthy juice or iced tea. Itll fill you up quick and you wont get too much out of ya, in this case in.

Try replacing 3 out of 5 of you're normal snacks with a few slices of cucumber or a carrot. and if you feel like you've eaten to much, take a walk around the block or to you're local park and back.
Try spending more time socializing, talking, being productive. That'll give you less time to spend putting food in your mouth.
Don't overfull your plate and think "It's thanksgiving... I'm supposed to eat 'till I explode!" I used to do that. Instead, I only fill my plate to match a normal an other day meal. If you just can't resist those delectable desserts, then cut back a bit more on the meal. Sure, it'd be healthier to eat the regular meal and skip dessert... but if you're like me, I can't rest easy 'till I get my dessert!
Throw a couple extra cardio workout in, too.
Try to exercise more and not overeating. Cause exercising can kill time and distract yourself from knowing that you're hungry. Also, before each meal, eat fruits or canola bars so that you can eat lesser during the meal. :) Good luck.
the best advise for not overeating is to eat small meals.. and often.. as already said.. instead of three big meals.. eat 6 small meals.. eating slow also helps.. the reason is.. the faster you eat.. the more you eat to fill up.. your stomach does not realise that quickly how full you are.. you need to give yourself time to digest your food..
just drink a bottle of water b4 each meal. it fills u up so u dont eat as much. it really helps loose weight to
try talking while your eating and it'll distract you enough so that you can stop when you're full. Also we all know that we can resist when the dessert comes out, just don't stare at it long and walk away from it and grab a carrot or any Vegetable instead. When you get full, we have a tendency to want to keep eating, but simply the best way to deal with this is to just throw it away. cover up the leftover food on your plate and throw the temptation away, and you will feel great afterwards:)
