I have a lot of blackheads all over my nose and surrounding area. I've tried all of the blackhead treatments that I can find in a supermarket/drug store/chemist. I'm really out of ideas of what to try now. I've had the persistent little blighters for years and I just wish they would go away. Anyone have any suggestions of what I can try? Thanks Ladies :)

pore strips are bad for you
try hovering your face over steaming water
then use an exfoliater (i like biore's warming blackhead scrub or st.ives since its cheaper)... See More
finally seal up your pores by rinsing with cold water

I have had problems with acne/blackheads since I was 9! and, I know what you mean by trying different facial products. 3 years ago however, I had heard about the success of salicylic acid, and decided that I needed to stick to one product for my skin needs so that I would not have skin reactions to using different products. (same goes with makeup). When in a Walgreens, I found alot of different products by clean and clear. wash, toner, and my favorite now, their blackhead clearing scrub with salicylic acid which is absolutely amazing, which I use once a week in the shower with a warm washcloth on my face. It is an exfoliater that does an amazing job. in the morning, I use their gentle liquid wash which is great for revitalizing the skin. Sorry to sound so much like a commercial, but it is great when you find a product that is inexpensive, and does a great job.
I know what you mean! I have had them for years and years, such a pain! Recently I just discovered how to get rid of mine. Everyday I was my face with clean and clears deep action cream cleanser, twice a day since i have mild acne. In the shower I use St. Ives blackhead scrubs and i make sure I am very gentle, but cover my entire face and neck and rub it all in for about two minutes then wash with a tiny bit of the clean and clear face wash and put on an acne moisturizer by Clean and Clear. Once a week, usually after my huge weekly run, I use Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque, $3 at Wallgreens. Its magic!! The first time I used it I freaked out because it made my acne look worse, but the second time I used it it minimized my pores like crazy and my blackheads were barely noticeable. After I've been following that routine for a while, about two months, I notice my skin is SO much better and actually glows all on its own without being oily or too dry! Hope this helps (:
i dont get black heads but i know people who do and they say tooth paste is supose to be a good thing. ive never done it personally so i wouldnt know. x

use a face cloth soaked in water as hot as you can stand it to open the pores and it sounds silly but cut leg wax (very strong wax) strips into smaller strips and use that after drying your face
Go to the doctor! He gave me a prescription lotion that works AND I CLEARED UP GREAT!
Also try the Nutrogena Wave for basic cleaning. I got mine from Costco for really cheap with a lot of extra facial pads
