oval IS the best shape face.. but make is relitive to each persons face.. you put it on in the same place.. theres no adjustments there is as many ways to put it on as there is colors to use..
my suggestion is..

apply moistrisser (forgive my spelling please)
base.. in a shade as close to your skin tone as you can get with out going darker
apply consealer where needed.. under eyes.. on blimishes
setl with a powder

for blush you can do several ways..
1 is with a contour/highlight..
that is a darker shade is put under your cheek bones (suck in your cheeks apply in the area you sucked in) you also can bring that up to your temples.. and the sides of your chin
then a compliement shade of blush on the apples of your cheeks..
above that you apply a white color.. and blend all three together

as for eyes. that is also going to depend on what kind of eyes you have..

white liner on your waterline opens your eyes up makes them appear bigger and really pop.. apply liner underneath the waterline..
again.. liner /shadow.. it all depends on what kind of look your going for.. its not somthing you can just say.. ok this is how you do it..

i have an oval shaped face so here are my tips:

1. depending on what color your eyes are, put shadow only on your lids, no higher then the crease; and use a color that compliments yur eye color.

2. use a suttle blush, and smile when you put it on, just put it on the rounder part of your cheeks.

everything works with oval shaped faces.

Well, an oval shaped face is the best shape for really anything; such as hair styles etc. The symmetry of the forehead and chin help pull off just about anything. However, the shape of your face isn't a huge part of make up styles so the questions you should actually consider are what color your eyes are and how big they are in comparison to your face. The color would make certain color eye shadows and styles work and some not so think about that. (for example, blue eyes look best with shades of brown and blue and green eyes look really good with pinks/browns/purpels) If you have smaller eyes, stick to shadows and liners that will make your eyes appear bigger and brighter. Hope this helps :]
