Any tips or suggestions on how to do wavy/tousled/curly hair styles and what products to use? I have semi wavy hair and have a hard time making the curls or waves stay nice looking. I'm considering a perm just because it's such a pain but I really like it when it looks good.

My hair is really long and thick and curly. What works really well for me is showering at night and making 2 French braids down the sides of my head and sleeping on them. The next morning I just use a little Aussie Mousse and hairspray and it gives me perfect beachy waves with no frizz (which is usually my biggest problem). The Kenra line is also really good, but it's rather pricey. Personally the braids and the Aussie work for me better than anything else and it's a lot cheaper. Hope I helped!

Ha, I have really thick and wavy hair, and I've found Herbal Essences Totally Twisted mousse works like a charm. Be careful, though, it can get crunchy if you use too much. I tend to overdo it because my hair is so thick, I have to play around with the amount I put in it because I have so much hair and it's so thick. Sometimes I mix in a little bit of Dove's curling mousse. Dove's mousse alone doesn't work as well as Herbal Essences, but it's lighter and doesn't get as crunchy. I adore the smell of Totally Twisted, though. I shower in the morning and just let it air dry. I haven't tried the diffuser technique, though. Also, try getting your hair thinned or just cut some inches off. A lot of hair can weigh curls and waves out. I had some spare cash and went and splurged on some professional stuff, and I found Redken's Ringlet 07 works fairly well too, and I don't have to use nearly as much.

I've always has a problem finding prducts for my wavy hair that don't make my hair feel crunchy... But I finally found Rusk-Wired, and it works soooooo well. I'ts like 11 dollars at ulta, and a bottle lasts foooorever. I would definately recommend you use it!!! YOu can put it in when it's wet and let it air dry, or put it in when hair is dry to reduce frizz!!!

Also, don't wash your hair too often!

after you wash your hair, put it in a bun some people sleep with the bun on but i don't wash my hair right before i go to sleep. i just put my hair in a bun about 30 min-1 hour before the place i want to go with my hair wavy & voila!

When your hairs wet, put it up in a tight bun. Then hair-dryer it when its still in a bun.
Takes a long time but its worth it!

I have wavy hair and I use Garnier Fructis Wonder Waves. Once its wet I just use my hands and twist my hair. Once it dries I have pretty waves =]

I have wavy very much full bodied hair and the best way to tame it down for me is to get it mostly wet (just after toweling off from a shower) then I brush it into the style I want, scrunch with some hairspray (not alot!) then add Got2be pomade texturizing creme to the ends and scrunch thoroughly, adding hairspray as needed. I never use enough hairspray to actually make my hair hard and crunchy though.
