I'm going on a job interview for my dream job on Friday and I'm so nervous. What are things I should keep in mind and/or what advice can you girls give me?

~Always send a thank you card, no matter what. Send it the second you get home so they get it then next day.
~Be prepared. Research the company, know the basics about the job you are applying for.
~Have at least 3 intelligent questions to ask.
~I prepared the top ten reasons to hire me, and my now boss was impressed with that and the things i brought with me to the interview. I brought letters of rec, resume, my accomplishments, top ten reasons to hire me, examples of the work i had done at other past experiences, etc etc.
~be prepared to say what you want to make, and be realistic about it

Be confident in yourself! That will show more than anything else

Dress professionally and appropriately for the job you are trying to get. Don't be overly gabby. Get a good night's sleep. Try to appear at ease.

Dress for success, be professional and honest and relax. :)
Oh and make sure you get a good night's sleep before the interview day.
Interviewers want to see what kind of person they are hiring and if they're right for the job, so just be yourself.
good luck!

Dress to impress and relax! As long as your confident in yourself they will be confident in you! I also agree with what Tiffany said I have done that before and I got a second interview and the job!

Should they not offer you the job, or they say that they still have other interviews, send the person who gave you the interview, a thank you card!! Believe it or not, when my mother was in charge of those things at a HUGE company, she always gave a second interview to anyone that sent in a thank you note. GOOD LUCK

Think ahead most will ask if you have any questions ? try to prepare at least 3 in order for one to be left relevant by the time you get to this point. Relax it may be the job you want today but it will not be end of the world if you are unsuccessful.

I've had sooo many interviews, but i have also led a few where i am actually asking the Q's...it's nerve wracking on both sides.

1st you should think of it as more of a chance to show them why u are the perfect person, if u've read the company website, done a bit of research and know the post and what they want you to do, then that side is covered-if it's relevant you could think about 1 or 2 ways you'd improve anything, but don't seem like you want to come in and change too much, just so they see u are proactive...which you obviously are, as u've taken the initiative to post this question!!

Now when it comes to YOU...make sure you've tried your outfit on in advance, someone once saiid to me you dress for the next role you want, so think about the role AFTER the one you are interviewing for, think smart manager, sexy but professional...u know confident, if u have good legs and you usually wara a siut, what about a classy pencil skirt & shirt? also think about hair & the style you want to project/how it looks all together

On the day, get up fairly early, have a small meal, tea/coffee or whatever, just pamper yourself, make sure YOU feel good-it will come accross...do your make up (if you wear any usually), and take some time to chill and IMAGINE yourself doing really well in the interview

i usually get to the place early and scope it out, hang around and see how staff interact, if u can catch any conversations which will help, these are all the things they DON'T put on their website etc,

Lastly, remember especially in a recession, they can pick nearly whoever they want and they want YOU...that's why they've called YOU up for an interview...

i have a good feeling for you hun

xx

Dress nice and try to relax. If you're nervous you are more likely to make mistakes. Be confident! You can do it!!
