My current boyfriend and I have been talking about our future together, and everything is looking up. The other night, when I was staying at his house, I turned on his computer to check my email, and the website for Kay Jewelers popped up.. I mean, I knew he wants to marry me, and I know in my heart that he IS the one for me and that I do want to marry him too... But I don't know when he's going to ask. So I asked him, and he said it would be when I least expect it.. Oh geez... What do I do? Help? Please?

As aggravating as it is, u just gotta let it go and let him do it his way. Guys are proud and nervous and excited and can only want it to be just as special as you do. So just chill :) he'll come through soon enough!

My boyfriend is a geek too, and I couldnt love him more haha, I'm somehow a geek aswell. Anyway, I think the way he proposed to you is extremely nice. Congrats for that beautiful relationship and good luck with the upcoming wedding =)

My fiancé proposed to me July 4th 2009, but I knew he was going to propose since October of 2008, because he had told me he had found the perfect ring (we're really bad at keeping things from each other :P).
All you can really do is take a breath and try to put it from your mind. You're not supposed to know when he's going to ask you, but the fact that you know he IS going to ask you should be good enough to know you have someone who wants to be with you for the rest of his life.

... why is he waiting to ask if you already know he's going to? I mean, I assume you're going to say yes, and I assume he knows that... so why wait?

I guess some people find propositions more important than I do.

Anyway, as far as I care, my future fiance can get me a mood ring out of a vending machine and say something along the lines of "Well, it'll just be cheaper if we get married." Marriage isn't important to me. I'll probably fall into a common law marriage rather than actually have a ceremony. My boyfriend and I decided that if we're together long enough, we'll get married to help with the health insurance coverage, and we'll probably throw a party, but it's not a testament to our love; I don't need a ring or a veil or way too many flower arrangements to remind me that I love who I am with, and I am going to be there for them, through thick and thin. I have every day for that.
