Anyone have any tips on how to clear up skin? I'm 24, I've been to dermatologists and doctors but none of them have been able to help me get clear skin, I have infrequent but highly noticeable break outs but I also have periods of times where my skin is relatively smooth. What would you suggest for clearer skin? (I have combination skin- oily and sensitive.)

To help clear skin, go the natural way. You can buy honey from your grocery store, any kind will do. Microwave a portion for 15 seconds, and apply it on your face like a mask. Leave it on for 20 minutes, and then rinse. Your skin immediately feels softer, and looks better. Make it a routine. You can really see a difference(: However, it does drip, and some remains on your face. I usually do this before I shower, or at night, so it'll wash off in my morning shower. Another thing, after you do the honey, you can apply a coating of virgin olive oil. Sleep in it, and rinse it off in the shower in the morning(:

Don't ever put generic soap on your face!!! Ever ever ever!!!!!!! Unless it's specifically FOR YOUR FACE. And don't use just any lotion as a moisturizer, either!!!!! EVER!!!!! It will totally clog your pores and you'll more than likely just break out even more.
Make sure whatever you're putting on your face is FOR YOUR FACE.
Unless it happens to be a natural ingredient that is scientifically proven to be GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN!!!!! Like: Pure honey. Pure oats. Things like that.
Do some research. I'm sure there are dermatologists out there with some legit info that you may not have known!!!!

I've always struggled with acne too, but lately my skin had been behaving itself. I wash my face with soap and water, (we have irish spring soap). Yeah soap will dry your skin out and can feel good but its not good at all. Make sure you keep your skin moistureized. If your face drys out it forces your skin to make more oil to compensate for the dryness. Causing it to be oily. I use any lotion i can find. (atm i'm using Malibu sweet scents vanilla spice) Or if you have it, Olive oil works wonders. I know your proabaly thinking "its an oil it'll clog my pores and make it worse" thats what i thought, but olive oil is a "good oil" its good for your skin and hair. It wont clog your pores or make your skin and hair oily or greasy. Before bed put some olive oil on your face, so that it looks like you have a super oily face, like really shiny. When you wake up, simply wash it off. It wont stain your pillow, calms redness, evens tone and keeps your skin healthy and moisturized. Hope this helps. :)

Have you considered changing your diet rather than just what you put on your face? I read Skinny Bitch and it talks a lot about all the hormones in milk and meat and how some women are extremley sensitive to it and have bad acne. You could be "allergic" to something you are eating and not knowing.

Also, I've been drinking those "Green Monster" type of juices with lots of fruits/veggies in it along with Spirulina, Barley and Wheat Grass and ever since my skin has been so much better than usual. I think heavy doses of certain vitamins also help clear things up.

put Neosporin on your break outs before you go to bed. since acne is usualy a bacterial issue, the Neosporin will clear it right up. i have do this and it works.

use manuka honey - expensive, but is full of antibacterial properties which help a whole range of ailments. they've even started using it in hospitals for various treatments. if you google it you may find some more info on it.

Wash your face with a good cleanser, you get what you pay for. I recommend philosophy brand. Then you wanna use a good toner, again you get what you pay for. Then you wanna use a super nourishing moisturizer. Then once or twice a week use a good exfoliating scrub. ALWAYS remove your make up.
