I'm a college student going to a culinary school for baking - so we have to try everything we eat, but my roommates and I are trying to get fit before we leave for externship in July. We're walking twice a day - before and after class - and doing some other workouts, but we are having a hard time eating right since we don't have great choices for food all the time. Any suggestions on food that we could get to store in the room ?

Celery with peanut better, and raisins. I don't think we're ever too old for "Ants on a log" :o) And it's delicious!!

Hey!
I am a chef that has been through culinary school. I am physically fit and steady fit through culinary school. Yes there are goodies all over the place at school but remember you have the choice of what you eat and how much you eat at school. Even when tasting. When it comes to eating at home. Try eating fruits and a mixture of vegetables. Try to stay away from the sweets, since you can eat them in class or at school in general. Eat whole grains, lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables. I know I love "junk food" but if its not in the house its not as tempting to eat. I love snacks so I keep crackers and rice cakes around the house instead of potato chips. :-) I hope this helps. Also set realistic goals for yourself and don't over do it.
