I need help! I'm a freshman in college at a small school and everything was going great until 2 weeks ago. My sexuality came up to the girls I had become friends with. I'm a lesbian and I'm not ashamed of it. My family knows and accepts it. But now these girls have disowned me and are trying to make my life hell. It's gotten so bad I don't want to leave my dorm room because I'm scared of what they will do next. I don't want my family to worry about me so I haven't told them what is going on but I'm so depressed about it and don't know what to do. I'm being bullied and I know it and I don't know what to do. Please help!

Talk to people who will help. Your RA is a good start; finding your nearest LGBT campus group will help a lot, too. Don't let them force you into being alone; it's the only way they can pick on you.

Talk to your RA's or Dean of Students ASAP!!! You want to make sure there is records of their harassment and you seeking help. It is to protect yourself in case anything happens. You are not alone and should try to look into the resources your school offers.

I am sorry you have to experience this! Please do not be afraid to speak up! They are in the wrong and there are many new laws, school rules and human decency they are breaking.

Good Luck and remember to keep being strong!

make some new friends, and don't let these girls scare you. there are advantages in numbers, so when you go out walk with someone. REPORT IT ASAP! there is no excuse for these girls to be scaring you like they are or doing the things they are!

Girl, report it as SOON as possible! This kind of thing should not be tolerated. Also, tell your family. They need to know. They might be able to give some words of advice too.
