Alright, I'll just get to the point...when I get my period I am really cranky and moody. It's been really bad for my relationship. My boyfriend and I, we always end up fighting, I just pick fights and he's really patient with me, even though I become this complete b*tch, he always comes back and apologizes as soon as we're done fighting. Recently though I feel like I might be losing him, we had a really bad fight and he says he's busy but I feel like he's avoiding me and I get it, there's only so much patience someone can have. I don't want to lose him, he's great with me, but I don't know if I can control my moods. What should I do? Any ideas? Oh and we're in a long distance relationship, its been about a year for us.

My friend saw her doctor about this same thing. He prescribed something (I can't remember what) & it helped her to not be so moody during that time of the month.

:/ I know what you mean. I totally blew up o my boyfriend and he's super patient with it all... It was the first time my hormones have ever gotten that bad on me... and breakouts everywhere! -sigh- I'm still getting a hang of it. If and when I find a solution, I'll tell you. But a good way to at least ease up on it is count your dates so you're prepared for the fight. Also, eating well helps. Junk foods tend to crank up the cranky-ness...

This used to happen to me alot, and sometimes still does. The next time something happens that really upsets you, pause. Literally. Take a deep breath, and try to relax. If it's in the middle of a conversation, tell him that you'll call him back. Then really take a look at what has you feeling so angry. If it helps, write down your frustrations. Don't hold anything back and let it all out on paper. You can also talk to a friend, maybe go out for coffee or just a friendly chat. Once you have let all of your frustrations out, you will know if your anger is hormonal or not. If you still feel angry at him, then definitely let him know what has you feeling angry. Most likely you'll calm down, and then let him know why you felt irritated and how you feel now. I hope this helps!
