I've been with my boyfriend for a few months and we've had sex quite a few times. I have no trouble climaxing when I'm with him, but he takes longer - same goes for handjobs, oral, etc - and after a little while (only during sex) he can't keep it up. It's happened almost every time, and a few times when we got started, but didn't make it past foreplay.

He says it's just nerves and seems to get really bummed out about it. We're both pretty young, so I wouldn't think he'd have any health problems, but he's a smoker as well. Is it just nerves? And is there anything I can do other than reassure him it's alright?

this used to happen with my ex a lot too. i would suggest when it happens, take a break from sex and put the focus on him. use your hands to get him going again. it's just like when women take awhile to get off, we want to know that there's no timeline so we can relax right? so make sure he knows that you're into it and want to do this for him.
