I had extreme growth spurts and now I have horrible strech marks on my arms, my hips, everywhere!!! They're so embarrassing to me, so much so that I've spent all summer covered up. I don't want to be so embarrassed, but I don't know how to fix them. How can I get rid of these stretch marks fast?

Natural tanning is one way. Self tanners and tanning beds won't provide your skin with the vitamin D it needs, and won't 'tan them out' like traditional laying out in the sun will. Also, using Bio Oil twice a day has a dramatic positive affect. I'm 9 months pregnant, and have been sun bathing via pool(2x a week) since month 8 and using bio oil since month 7 and my dark, bumpy, purple stretch marks are flesh toned and invisible :) DON'T tan with Bio Oil. It'll burn the eff out of your skin. And if you do decide to tan, use a mild SPF sunblock (20-45), and swim. The water intensifies the suns UV rays more so than just laying out on a towel.

I use cell renewal anti-aging facial products on stretch marks. just treat that part of the skin like you would for your face: cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise, sunblock, even facial mask sometimes. the stretch marks are easier to treat while it's still red, before it turns white. it works ok for me so far, it eventually fades and becomes smooth again, but doesn't completely disappear =/

Immediate Solution: Fake Tanner

A month or two: Firming Creams, Bio Oil, or retinoic acid cream.

Longer: Vitamin E Oil and eventually they'll fade from angry red/purple marks to light grey, skin colored marks and look like scars, because basically that's what they are.

If you have the funds you can also get laser treatments.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! You shouldn't feel like you have to stay in all summer. You're beautiful the way you are, and everyone experiences growth spurts, it's not a big deal. If you want to hide main ones from growth, get a swimsuit that covers some thigh and if your arms bother you throw on a loose-nit sweater over top.

It sounds like you've grown some curves; well honey that's a good thing, go flaunt them!!!

Good Luck!! :)

My sons used this on their growth marks. I used it on my pregnancy stretch marks (4 years after pregnancy), plus my surgical scars. I had surgery and was cut hip to hip and no one notices it- until AFTER I point it out it is so faint. Same with two ankle surgeries. can also be used on facial lines and wrinkles.

Use bio oil. Its great and very relaxing!, also work the muscles near it to improve the circulation and elasticity.
