you can't really lose weight without a little bit of muscle. muscles are what burns fat, so you're kind of dreaming. do some sort of cardio to get your heart pumping for at least 30 minutes a day, every day. try resistance training 3/4 times a week, drink lots of water, eat healthy, cut down on sodium, ect. people mistake cardio as something you have to do in extreme. in reality, you just got to get your heart beating faster than usual, no need to work your butt off to the point of where you're going to pass out.

Dancing and swimming.

Swimming tones really well, just be careful with getting big shoulders, don't do it everyday and don't go for more than half an hour.

don't forget to add a bit of weight/ workout on your arms too... pushup's / prone hold (where you hold the press up in the air, back straight, arms bent at the elbows - lower arm/ elbow on the floor.. hold in stomach muscles.. hold for as long as possible, attempt 30 sec's then a min, then 2, etc.) [ the longest i saw anyone do this was 3.5 minutes] ... hard work but well worth it. for extra "hardness to it" do it on your tip toes instead of legs down on the floor... none of these Girl Press Up's hehe.

yeah i agree with the person above, I've done weights for over 3 yearrs and i dont have bulky muscles, my muscles have just filled where fat once was :D
I would suggest pilates, yoga, swimming, dancing or aerobics. If you really dont want to gain any muscle mass than running and cycling should prob be kept at a lower intensity to avoid muscle gain just in your legs

Girl muscles develop differently than guy muscles. We don't bulge when we get muscle -- unless you're a bodybuilder but you really have to work for that, so don't worry about getting muscle. If you honestly just workout and eat healthy, you'll get muscle and tight skin.

Dancing, is always great. Get some up lifting beats on your ipod and hit the pavement, walking is good if you don't feel like going for a run. Also I have a great suggestion try "scouts pace" it's were you walk one lamp post length, then run the next one, walk the next, and so on. You can cover large distances and not get so tired. Oh and if you're riding a bike, go up onto the pavement up the driveways and down to the road, up on the pavement, down onto the road. Makes biking more fun ;)
