Shaving, got it down to an art....almost. Every time I shave my upper leg, I always end up with little red dots, or ingrown hairs. It doesn't seem to matter what I do - exfoliate right after, lotion, shaving with hot water then putting cold water on (read that in a magazine). Any other ideas?

why dont you just go to a parlour and get waxed? i think shaving is not a good idea.. waxine is much better. shaving almost always leaves cuts and red spots behind and the hair which grow the next time also become very hard and pointed like thorns..! i have always used wax to remove body hair. that works well! and the girl at the spa does it good too..

Use deodorant on the sensitive areas after you have shaved, especially a bikini line!

I have Follicutlitis on my upper arms pretty bad (though I don't shave my arms) and my upper legs. I started shaving with olive oil and then using this lotion called amlactin (hard to find, check costco or wal-greens!) and it works wonders! My legs are silky smooth and my arms look normal!

Mix in a smidge of antibiotic ointment (I just use some generic tube stuff) with your regular lotion. Rub it in!!!! It'll keep your hairs from becoming infected and ingrown. Works like a charm!!!! I used to struggle with this all the tiiiime.

how long does a razor shave normally last? for mei can feel my hair the next day and its very annoying. so i try waxing.. it has made the hair thinner and less noticeable, but the growth rate is more or less the same!! IM SHIT TIRED OF REMOVING ALL THE HAIR :@

I do the same thing. I always end up using more shampoo than I do conditioner so I shave with left overs. My legs always come out smoother than they ever did with shaving cream.
I actually did an experiment with my boyfriend on which leg was smoother. I shaved one with conditioner and one with shaving cream but didn't tell him which was which. He picked the conditioner leg as the smoothest. =)

I always use lotion to shave my legs, they get moisturized while getting shaved, you could try that :)

Tend Skin is the greatest product EVER for this problem. I have course curly hair that seems to curl BEFORE it breaks the surface of the skin and I have ingrowns all over the place. Tend Skin is the only product that I have tried that actually works. And I have tried a lot.
